Press:  Visit the Durango Telegraph to read up on this year's exciting conference.  "'Green' Heads for the Mainstream".   Cover Story

Our aim this year is to present the several systems of home building  and show how these are integrated with each other.  Along the way, our speakers will suggest ways to be conscious of and preserve the environment and the earth's natural resources.  We hope to build a bridge to conventional home builders and give them reasons to make energy efficient and resource conservative choices.

The systems we will cover this year:

  1. Site Plan & Foundations, orienting the house & locating the best site for the house & discussing the many choices for a foundation.

2. Structure, discussion of the many options for building the structure, from conventional to alternative methods.

3. Mechanical, will include heating, plumbing, electrical, and
ventilation.

4. Thermal, this area will cover insulation, doors and windows, and roof systems.

5. Finishes, the speaker will touch on the conventional and elaborate on the alternatives.
