Thanks to the home office in Boulder for giving the thumbs up on a second regional natural building conference in beautiful Durango.  The experience of bringing you last autumn's conference and the friendships forged in the process have been so rewarding that we wanted to keep the celebration going. Please keep this website bookmarked on your computer.  We will be planning next year's conference before you know it.  And we're sure to have a wonderful 2008 Year Book with photos of YOU, learning and having fun.

Mission Statements COSBA is committed to expanding and sharing knowledge, experience and techniques for straw bale and sustainable building. COSBA promotes quality building practices and serves as a resource to building professionals and homeowners. The Southwest Chapter of COSBA is a consortium of builders, architects, merchants and individuals interested in promoting sustainable building and living practices in the Durango area. We think that green, sustainable lifestyle choices are not only environmentally ethical and responsible, but also financially sound in the coming years.  The COSBA Straw Bale Conference, held annually, attracts an equal number of building professionals and prospective owner/builders.
